Activism Marketing and Social Media Manager Care2

develop and implement social media strategy to increase success of petitions
develop social media voice and write compelling and share-worthy social media posts
increase engagement of Care2's Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr audiences
advocate for the best social media strategies throughout Care2, and outline plans for maximum exposure
Coordinate with Care2's campaigns team and cause blog team to select and promote the best content to social media audiences
Track statistics of social media posts and email promotions, run tests and adjust strategy accordingly
Earned media and PR:
develop and implement earned media strategy to increase visibility and success of citizen and Care2 petitions
pitch stories based around petition authors to online and traditional news outlets
raise media awareness of Care2's activist tools and community
3-5 years experience in a marketing, PR or social media position.
Expert knowledge of trends in social media and online communities
Comfort with Google tools, Excel, HTML, web graphics and statistics -- Ability to learn new systems quickly
Expert knowledge of social media tracking tools and analytics
Strong work ethic, desire to work collaboratively, and ability to thrive under deadlines
At least a Bachelor's degree; higher education is a plus
Passion for online activism and progressive issues.
