Ad Platforms Manager
Business Development | Santa Monica, CA, United StatesWe're looking for a detail-oriented individual to fill a key role in a quickly growing organization. Ad management at Demand Media is a bit different than at other companies. While the foundation of the job is still focused on campaign execution and optimization, the ideal candidate will run point for large dollar custom implementations as well as audience focused optimization (direct response and audience targeting) â€" as well as have opportunities to make an impact to our yield management strategy across sold and unsold inventory. You'll be working with the largest advertisers to deliver best-in-class execution using cutting edge technology infrastructure. You will be working side by side with account management, executive sales, business development and operations leadership, and will also be interfacing with general managers for our portfolio of properties. In this quickly growing department your scope will likely increase quickly.
Responsibilities
- Traffic campaigns in multiple ad serving environments across multiple formats: display (gif/jpg/flash/3rd party tag), search, video
- Architect and drive implementation for custom integrations (non-IAB advertising experiences across display, video and mobile) coordinating with a site team and the business teams
- Optimize and report on campaign performance based on advertiser campaigns across branded and direct response objectives
- Understand and optimize site tagging structure and the configuration of exchanges and networks to drive non-guaranteed results
- Continually deliver proactive recommendations for better and more effective delivery
- Drive process enhancement to build best-in-class ad operations workflow
- Employ detail oriented project management and entrepreneurial skills to execute in a fast moving environment
- Partner with site general managers to maximize ad serving performance across multiple properties
Qualifications
- BA/BS, 2-5 years of experience in ad operations, ad management experience preferred
- Experience with DFP, Right Media, and general ad serving knowledge
- Experience with search, video and mobile preferred but not required
- Strong technical grasp of ad serving technologies (ad server logic, redirects, pixels)
- Solid background in direct response optimization and the methodology behind it
- Ability to problem-solve creatively
- Strong analytical capability and Excel proficiency required
- Knowledge of HTML, Javascript, DHTML, XML, and Flash a plus
- Must have great attitude, be self-motivated and self-organized, and hungry to make an impact and constantly develop in a fast growing organization
