The Ad Product Manager is responsible for the full product lifecycle from ideation through delivery, including creating and driving product roadmaps, determining revenue impact of features, drafting product requirements and guiding the development process to successful product launch. The Ad Product manager will build/package products from existing capabilities as well as develop new concepts based on deep industry experience and consistent contact with customers and prospects.
Managing new feature releases, from specs to production, including creating product specs, communicating tech requirements to the development team, communicating release date/schedule info to the team, and writing product documentation
Handling market feedback from sales and product marketing, and translating into actionable feature requests where appropriate
Evaluating feature requests, and converting a feature request into a product spec where appropriate
Managing the technical specs for all products, and communicating with planning and CS teams when specs are added or changed
Working with the Engineering and Project Management teams to define product release requirements
Working with the Product Marketing team to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer.
Serving as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, occasionally working with the sales channel and key customers
BS in technical or quantitative discipline; MBA a plus
8 years experience in Product Management (or equivalent role that straddles both technology and business functions)
Experience in the online advertising space is required; specialties in one or more of the following highly desirable: Ad Serving, Ad Ops and Ad Exchange processes; Audience-based Targeting and Optimization; or Insights, Reporting and Analytics
Strong customer focus, with a track record of using customer insights to shape product strategy and drive detailed trade-offs over the product lifecycle.
Adept at analyzing competitive and adjacent products and using those insights to improve the product and anticipate competitive threats before they happen.
Ability to prioritize competing opportunities, balance market needs with business priorities, manage conflict, and articulate the rationale behind decisions.
Strategic thinker; can manage long-term and cross-product issues
