Beecher Carlson, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerages in the country, has an immediate opening for full-time Administrative Assistant to provide much needed support to the brokerage services of its Executive Liability Practice located in New York City.
The ideal candidate for this position is a resourceful, self-starter and highly-organized team player with a strong work ethic, excellent time management and communication skills. You will be working alongside some of the most knowledgeable Executive Liability Professionals in the industry. You will have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team on assignments that will entail interaction with clients and insurance market representatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in managing day-to-day general office operational and administrative needs in conjunction with Office Manager
Provide support to brokers on all administrative needs relative to placements that will include preparation of presentations, and issuance of invoices and certificates of insurance
Assist claims advocates on inputting and updating of claim materials that requires proficiency in computer program management systems.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Business background and prior experience in insurance is a plus, but not required.
Technical skill proficiency in data entry programs, PowerPoint, Word and Excel, as well as a willingness to learn new programs.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
