The Configuration Control Specialist is responsible to communicate and assign component part numbers, manage ECN?s for all Asia products, track and maintain the approval process while gathering all supporting documentation for New SKU launch for Asia products, and provide back up to the Configuration Control Lead.
Examples of Typical Activities:
Manage the sign off process for new product launch and updates to existing prints based on ECN approval.
Maintain and update the BAAN system with BOM, ECN, and usage information.
Manage Part Number Database; assign part numbers in Baan as requested by users.
Manage ECN database with supporting documentation, provide supplier implementation, and monthly scorecard updates.
Create Bill of Materials, review fashion specifications, supporting documentation, and facilitate meetings to confirm the accuracy for New SKU launch. Maintain the New SKU Tracker report weekly for deliverables.
Tooling Database - Input supplier data, track tool movement (PM/Tool maintenance), enter tool plan information, and maintain part/tool drawing initial release and revision history.
Support the legal department in providing documentation for litigation preparation.
Support tool inventory twice per year.
Manage ECNs for Global Evenflo supplier or manufacturing locations, updating ECN database with information, and provide supplier implementation.
Convert Auto-cad files from suppliers.
Support annual review of tooling document standards.
ISO 13485 ? Update documentation for Procedures, Work Instructions, and Forms.
Tooling Archive Room ? Maintain log for all items moving in and out of room.
PI Web- Update and maintain Quality procedures to ensure that documents located on the PI Web reflect the most current data.
2-3 Years in SAP or equivalent engineering/manufacturing bill of material and quality management (Document Control) systems.
Required Technical Competencies
Experience with English/Metric System
2-year technical degree or suitable combination of education and work experience preferred
Extensive experience in use of database technologies in small/large global enterprise environments.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical subjects to non-technical audiences are required.
Position requires a strong ability to clearly document system design elements including use of appropriate documentation tools.
Proficient English language skills required. Spanish and/or Chinese language skills a plus.
Effective planning and organizational skills, with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and recall.
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Computer Proficient (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Baan/ERP System). Familiarity and ability to extract information from AutoCad or Pro-E.
Familiarity with PLM/Oracle systems.
