job DescriptionDo you have the desire to help students fulfill of their educational goals? Our Admissions Consultant will play a vital role in advising and assisting students looking to further their education. We want to provide students with the opportunity to speak directly with the alumni of schools and specific programs, as we think they are the best resource available to prospective students. Since we are not a college, we can provide unbiased feedback to students and their families.
Primary Job Requirements
Provide students with an insiders view as an alumni of schools and programs they are interested in pursuing
Educating students and parents about colleges, the college admissions process, trends, procedures, and testing.
Stay on top of issues and trends in college admission, higher education, testing, as well as keeping up-to-date about specific colleges.
Take incoming calls and emails from prospective students.
Conduct in-depth interviews and e-mail correspondence to assess student's needs, goals, major choices, and preparedness for college level work
Degree Requirements
Students and Alumni of Online Universities
All majors are welcome to apply
Students and alumni of Business Administration, Social Work, Education, Nursing and Design programs preferred
Additional Qualifications
Experience in college admissions or high school college counseling, teaching experience are plusses.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must be customer service oriented and able to interact with the public in a professional, respectful, and courteous manner
Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and to be a self-starter
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Locations
Remote and in office (Silicon Valley) positions available
