Advanced Process Control Engineer
Job Description
The Advanced Process Control Engineer will implement and manage equipment based process control solutions in a high volume PV factory in order to meet demanding manufacturing requirements. Responsibilities will include:
- Develop advanced process control solutions to automatically adjust and optimize process parameters in response to natural physical environmental changes and metrology inputs
- Collaboration with internal engineering groups on requirements, design, configuration, integration, and implementation of control solutions for PV module manufacturing equipment
- Optimization of existing control systems and development/definition of future platform architectures
- Responsibility for security of proprietary information related to production methods and process parameters
- Documenting all internally generated algorithms and system configurations
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in developing and supporting equipment based process control solutions for a high volume manufacturing facility. The candidate shall have working knowledge of the following:
- Multi-Variable Predictive control, Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic, Advanced PID Control, Statistical Process Control
- Fault Detection, Run to Run control, Feedback and Feed Forward control
- Advanced Process Control software such as GE Proficy CSense, and/or Pavilion Proecss Perfecter
- Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Project Management Procedures
Job Qualifications:
- MS or higher in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or related field
- 2 years directly related work in a high volume manufacturing environment
- Extensive experience with MatLab or Mathematica
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Outstanding writing and verbal skills
- Outstanding collaborative skills
