GENERAL SUMMARY
Aircuity is looking for an individual who enjoys working in a small company environment, with a strong background performing a QA and analytical role supporting and implementing web-based products and services. Working with our world-class developers and customer support teams, you will play a key role ensuring product quality and helping to administer and sustain account services. This position also works closely with our product management team, helping to scope development projects with an opportunity to apply your ideas to help grow and refine our subscription services. Qualified individuals will be highly motivated and serious about product quality, with the ability to work independently but also as an integral part of a dynamic team.
A key area of responsibility for this position concerns the quality assurance and support of our web-based information services and analytics (Advisor Services). These are subscription services which work in conjunction with our intelligent environmental monitoring system (OptiNet) that provides multiple parameter analysis and control functions to optimize HVAC performance within lab facilities and commercial office buildings, resulting in substantial energy savings.
Responsibilities-
Develops test plans and provides QA to ensure that our back-end data mining and analytics services operate properly, providing accurate and uninterrupted data.
Develops test plans and provides QA of front-end ASP.net web pages, analytical dashboards, summary reports, and notification products.
Supports the implementation of client services: assembling configuration files and (using a third party framework) building information dashboards, managing attributes, enabling summary report functions, and configuring and enabling user notifications.
Monitors the operation of enabled client services and provides corrective action when issues are encountered.
Works with Product Management, contributing to the development of product specifications, helping to define project scope, and in establishing schedules.
Manages the bug log and provides status reports and metrics during the release cycle.
Provides help authoring to enhance the users experience with our online products.
Contributes to the administration of our data and information server IT and code release support.
Serves as the technical liaison between Engineering and other groups including Marketing and Customer support, in support of our subscription based information products.
Responsibility for maintaining current source code, source documentation, version control, and ensuring that change management procedures are followed.
Requirements
A BSEE, BSCS, or equivalent and 5+ years of proven software QA experience demonstrating smart problem-diagnosis and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment managing multiple priorities.
Experience with bug tracking and reporting, as well as maintaining an associated database used to gauge readiness for release.
Excellent planning, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience with stored procedures and SQL Server 2005+ (basic SQL queries).
Experience with release engineering, software builds, and installations.
Experience with IIS and Exchange, along with basic server admin and networking skills.
Exposure to the software implementation of analytical applications involving statistical analysis, data mining, and pattern recognition applications is a plus.
Experience with Rich Internet Applications, including Silverlight and FLASH, is a plus.
Working knowledge of C++, C, MFC, Java, HTML, JSP and/or ASP is a plus.
Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
