The scope of the project is to provide design, development, and validation of controls and diagnostics for different aftertreatment systems. Specific responsibilities will include designing and implementing control strategies, conducting controls system simulation, analyzing development data, and validating all developed control strategies for Tier 4 Interim and Final production and New Technology Investigation. This job will include development and validation through simulation, bench testing, engine test cell and machine testing as well as detailed virtual dynamic modeling, control, testing and validation of prototypes of engines and aftertreatment systems, using general-purpose dynamic modeling software tools.
Completed graduate level courses in control systems, electronics, dynamic modeling and simulation, microcontrollers, real time embedded programming. Proficient in the use Matlab (including Simulink). Candidate must be capable of troubleshooting engine systems using PC based tools, standard lab instrumentation, and data acquisition systems and communicate the results to engineers, suppliers and customers
Master Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 1 year job experience. Industrial experience with diesel/gas engine/aftertreatment. Experience control theory, control system analysis, advanced control algorithms applied to engine and aftertreatment technologies is a plus.
Minimum Education: BSME or BSEE
Required Software: Matlab, Simulink, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
