Are you familiar with how to apply agile and lean principals to deliver features to production daily or weekly? Webs is actively seeking a senior agile project manager who is experienced in leading multiple high-velocity scrum teams. The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of iterative development, agile principles, and scrum methodology. Proven track record of iterative development with small batches and short feedback loops. Seasoned scrum master able to lead estimating, planning and sprints for multiple products. This position is full-time and is based at our main office in Silver Spring, MD.Responsibilities:Work with stakeholders to estimate and plan roadmap for multiple products and projects
Manage scrums and sprints for multiple product backlogs
Coach development teams on best practices for agile development and scrum
Work with product managers to develop and maintain product backlogs for each scrum team
Help scrum teams consistently estimate backlog and track velocity
Allocate and balance resources across scrum teams based on priorities, skills and requirements
Pull features in small batches through the development process based on business priorities
Deliver product releases based on team velocity and backlog estimates to meet business deadlines
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
3-5+ years' experience as scrum master or agile coach
Experience managing 2-3 scrums with 5+ developers each
Strong knowledge of iterative development, agile and lean principles, and scrum methodology
Previous experience as a software developer or application architect strongly preferred
Must have the ability to quickly analyze and solve problems
Must be a team player, highly motivated and detail-oriented
Able to work in an environment at a fast pace and with changing priorities
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
Previous experience managing people and writing year-end reviews
Bonus Skills:
Masters degree in CS, SW Engineering or related major
Lean software development
Continuous delivery concepts
Jira with Greenhopper plugin
Git version control hosted on Github
Jenkins continuous integration server
