The chosen candidate will be responsible for all aspects of cellular handset Material Management on multiple shifts including ensuring compliance to contractual obligations with customers and delegating critical tasks and managing work force effectively. This position is both quality champion for the operation and leader of materials review board as well as subject matter expert in alternate source material management.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate activities across multiple shifts to achieve company objectives as instructed by the General Manager; follow directions and daily work assignments given by the General Manager
Ensure the organization of data and information as needed to meet customer and company requirements
Determine and implement short-range and immediate actions to improve processes, quality, efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction; lead and assist in planning projects of varying scope and duration to accommodate changes in business strategy, customer requirements and unforeseen contingencies; acts as the Handset Repair Quality Champion
Provide input to upper management for strategic planning of resources and processes
Interpret company policies and procedures, enforce safety regulations and ensure that all workers follow proper procedures and regulations
Apply comprehensive technical knowledge and management experience to analyze and resolve complex work problems, or assist other employees in problem solving
Project and establish New Breed's work ethic and culture with a positive leader approach
Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
BS or BA in a closely related discipline or a strong combination of formal education and extensive management responsibilities in the electronics manufacturing or repair industries, with particular focus and experience in radio frequency devices, preferably with cellular and PCS technologies
Minimum of 10 years of management experience, 5 of which should be in manufacturing, repair or refurbishment of electronic devices; preferably cell phones
Must have extensive production management experience to effectively evaluate performance across multiple shifts, recommend and implement changes and improvements as necessary
Must have experience with warehouse management and inventory systems. Should have experience in an ISO environment and leading teams in the application of various quality techniques
Public speaking and presentation skills as required to address both New Breed and customer audiences; must be comfortable describing various cellular technologies
Must be able to perform semi-complex mathematical operations involving percentages and time tables
Possess intermediate to advanced computer skills with the ability to use MS Office software
