Job Description:
The ideal candidate will have a passion for data and analysis and possess data manipulation and analysis experience using SAS. This position will also support consultative services to internal and external clients in the analysis and interpretation of primary and secondary data in the healthcare space. The successful candidate for this position will work closely with the Epocrates analytics, marketing, sales and client service teams as they develop leading-edge, dynamic, robust products that meet the healthcare media needs of clients in the pharmaceutical, managed care, and medical education industries.
Responsibilities:
ï'§ Provide assistance and programming for the development, validation and implementation of study and project level specific SAS programs.
ï'§ Produce SAS reporting programs to deliver tables, listings and graphical reports and reporting datasets required to support sales and marketing initiatives.
ï'§ Provide other ad hoc analytics support to Sales and Client Service teams.
ï'§ Implement analytical processes and procedures on projects.
ï'§ Design and develop custom analysis tools using applications such as SAS, Excel, and SQL.
ï'§ Initiate, facilitate and consult with Data Services' efforts to automate reports based on user requests or by observing frequency of ad-hoc reports being requested.
Skill Requirements:
ï'§ Attention to detail is a must.
ï'§ Ability to work independently as well as with other team members to ensure outputs are correct and complete.
ï'§ Proficiency with SAS is a must in addition to Microsoft office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
ï'§ Strong understanding of the needs/requirements of business customers.
ï'§ Strong communication skills and ability to present analytical results to a non-technical audience.
ï'§ Must be customer service driven.
Other:
ï'§ Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in a quantitative discipline or social science with 1-2 years experience experience using SAS and data analysis.
ï'§ SQL experience preferred but not required.
ï'§ Permanent Residence or US Citizenship is required.
