Analyst, New Ventures SecondMarket

SecondMarket is creating an internal business incubator group responsible for developing and deploying new business lines to help the company continue on its path towards changing the capital markets forever. We are looking for three or four hard-working, detail-oriented, entrepreneurial analysts to form the core of this new group.

Each New Ventures Analyst will be part of a two-person team responsible for identifying, assessing, developing and launching new products from within SecondMarket and will report to a VP, Product Incubation. Analysts will be expected to conduct a significant amount of analysis, research and materials preparation to support the teams efforts as well as provide insightful and creative ideas as part of the development process. Each Analyst will have the opportunity to go to market with their teams most promising product and be a permanent part of that new business line.

In addition to developing new business, each team will be responsible for identifying and developing strategic partnership, joint venture & acquisition opportunities to enhance SecondMarkets existing product lines.

Requirements:

2-3 years work experience
Worked in venture capital, management consulting or investment banking or worked for a startup
Previous corporate or product development experience a big plus
Graduated summa or magna cum laude
Significant extracurricular activities during or after college
Basic level of financial acumen
Must be willing to work in the New York City office
