As a member of the Analytics Team, the Analyst is an everyday partner of multiple departments, including Product, Operations, Marketing, IT Development, and Data Management. The Analyst tackles analytical and operational inquiries by developing thoughtful, incisive, and thoroughly practical analyses and reports that inform decisions and support business needs. Results must be highly polished and suitable for internal and external presentation. The Analyst reports to the Senior Manager, Analytics.
Responsibilities:
- Assist, or lead, in the development of highly dynamic, decision-informing models designed to support a rapidly evolving business with limited comparables or precedents. Subject areas may include:
- Curbside Recycling Product
- Optimization of Marketing Initiatives
- Operational forecasting
- Client Reporting
- Member engagement
- Customer lifecycle touch points
- New Product Verticals
- Ad hoc projects and analyses
- Perform research and analyses to identify and quantify market trends.
- Assist in developing standard reporting packages that effectively inform direct stakeholders on key business indicators.
- Design and standardize reports and queries.
- Partner with the Technical Reporting team to ensure consistency and alignment with business needs.
- Assist in achieving foundational objectives, including the identification and diagnosis of key business issues, development of solutions, and timely and seamless execution.

- Able to translate simple inquiries into complex analyses that are translated back into simple and straightforward results.

- Can find common ground without compromising total position.
- Project Management:
- Comfortable and effective at simultaneously maintaining multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Able to measure situations and use judgment to make shrewd decisions.
Experience:
- 12 â€" 18 months of analytical work experience. Preferred backgrounds include investment banking, consulting, Big 4 accounting, Fortune 500 FP&A, and yield management.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Information Sciences, or a related field required.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs, including Excel and Access. Foundational understanding/experience of data base structure, design, SQL and other programming languages highly preferred.
