Skyfire is looking for an experienced Android Application Developer to help design and develop our consumer and carrier based Android solutions which provide unique services and functionality to millions of mobile customers. Applicants must be well versed on rich UI based Android application development. If you have built a cool application which is available in the Android Market, we would like to discuss this opportunity with you.
Responsibilities
Software design and development.
Work closely with product management and quality teams on feature definitions.
Trouble-shoot and resolve code problems.
Collaborate with other members of the team to create interoperable elements of an overall system.
Work with others in Engineering, QA and Operations to develop highly reliable and scalable solutions.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience in working with others to solve challenging technical problems related to performance and usability.
Self starter with the ability to assess complex technical requirements.
3+ years of mobile development experience, with at least two years of development experience on the Android.
Demonstrated track record of developing and releasing Android applications
Demonstrated experience in object oriented design and development of applications and systems
Hands on experience using the Android Webkit, SDK and NDK
In-depth debugging skills; ability to reach out and use team strengths to solve problems.
Strong understanding of Android OS, developing in ADS, interactive application development paradigms, memory management, network programming, concurrency and multi-threading.
Ability to work in small collaborative team and have a great passion.
BS degree in Computer Science or a related field
Desired
Working in an Agile development process environment.
Understanding of web technologies such as iFrames, HTML, and javascript
Experience in J2ME/J2SE and Android application performance analysis and tuning, benchmarking and unit testing are desired.
