The positions primary responsibility is to directly support the Anti-Fraud, Security Operations Center (AF SOC) team of Security Analysts. The candidate will leverage their expertise and knowledge to perform high level analysis involved in online fraud investigations globally. The candidate must be detail oriented and possess the ability to communicate technical matters clearly and effectively to both internal AF SOC team members as well as external 3rd parties. We?re looking for that college graduate who is looking to get in on the ground floor of a growing field or that more seasoned veteran who is looking to move their career in new direction.
Performs detailed examination and analysis of Phishing sites;
Performs analysis of malware binaries and communication points;
Performs detailed analysis of other fraud types (Vishing,419 Scams, Pharming);
Writes reports for Management;
Writes detailed explanations of incidents for clients and management;
Provides instruction and training for AF-SOC Security Analysts on new emerging threats;
Serve as a primary escalation point for the AF-SOC analysts;
Provide afterhours support/on-call in emergency situations;
Communicate with clients and internal departments;
Conduct and attend routine meetings with management and clients;
Communicate with ISPs and Registrars globally to mitigate fraud attacks.
5 years of scripting experience in a Linux/UNIX/Windows environment;
Expert knowledge and experience in scripting in languages such as PHP, Python or Perl;
Expert knowledge of SQL and the ability to query SQL databases for reporting purposes;
Experience in working with common Internet protocols (e.g., SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, Whois, SSH) (a must);
Experience with working with Web servers (Apache, IIS, Ngnix);
Knowledge of the Internet, Registrars and ISPs;
Experience with HTML, HTML5 and CSS;
Experience with dealing with Internet Security ? (Phishing is a plus);
Ability to learn new technologies quickly;
Must be able to work Thursday - Sunday (7:00pm-7:00am) and be flexible with scheduling and potential rotational requirements.
