This position is based in the SOMA district of San Francisco. We are located next to a Muni Metro station, close to Cal-Train, and 10 minutes by Muni from BART.

Objective of Position
Cloudmark's Security Operations Center (SOC) provides customers access to a team of highlyskilled content security engineers and analysts, monitoring their systems for new threats and reacting quickly when such threats occur. The team follow the sun and work closely with professional services, architects and engineers who highly value a close working relationship with the SOC. As a member of this team you will be working with some of the largest Internet Service Providers, Social Media networks and Mobile Operators to ensure the highest level of threat detection, analysis and high quality response.
? Participate in the monitoring and adjustment of detection systems for new threats and use best practices to ensure these threats are stopped quickly.
? Work closely with our engineering and services teams to provide customers with a multipronged approach to accuracy.
? Document threats and trends for internal and external communication.
Experience & Qualifications
Master's Degree or a minimum of 5+ years experience in anti-abuse, anti-spam, anti-phishing, anti-fraud, anti-virus, or NOC/SOC environment.
Experience at an ISP, social network, or wireless/mobility provider preferred.
Excellent knowledge of Windows, Linux, Messaging and Networking.
Working knowledge of regular expressions and shell scripting.
Experience in behavior analysis and/or pattern recognition a plus.
Knowledge of Splunk, Perl and MySQL a plus.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work in a highly dynamic and agile environment.
Special Working Conditions
We operate a weekend cover and on-call system. Everyone expects to work roughly 1 week and 1 weekend in 4.
After initial training travel should be less than 2 weeks a quarter.
