We are looking for an “all-round†rock star marketer for APIhub, the world's largest API repository and leading platform for publishing APIs - an exciting new website that launched in December 2012. This newly created position will be responsible for all aspects of marketing APIhub to API Provider. There are 3 main areas to this position: Campaigns, Collateral and SEO, SEM, SMM
POSITION DETAILS:
APIhub marketing campaigns management
- Manage the full lifecycle of online and offline demand generation campaigns targeted towards API providers (i.e., enterprises companies, cloud and internet services, various websites and any and all other services that expose APIs).
- Establish and report on campaign metrics (API Provider engagement and adoption metrics + developer engagement metrics) and ROI; communicate goals/results
APIhub Collateral development and management
- Develop APIhub marketing and support collateral (e.g., how to, quickstart guides, value proposition, case studies)
- Craft specific messaging and collateral that targets the right audience, drives awareness (e.g., using multimedia, PPT, Infographics etc.)
- Work with PR team to market this
APIhub SEO, SEM and Social Media Marketing management
- Work with internal SEO, SEM expert on optimizing SEO/SEM strategy development and online customer acquisition plans designed to maximize site traffic
- APIhub social media management
POSITION DELIVERABLES:
APIhub marketing campaigns management
- Accelerate API Provider adoption of APIhub through creative outreach mechanisms, and communication of “how, and why APIhubâ€
- Execute outbound marketing campaigns targeted at API Providers, including product messaging, audience segmentation, and effective communication across channels (e.g., email, ads, webinars, and events)
- Create and drive a direct email marketing program, including community newsletters, product announcements, and other online campaigns
APIhub Collateral development and management
- Creating customer-ready tutorials, how-to guides, and reference documentation collateral to live on the website, on email and whitepaper form
- Drafting customer case studies and press releases
- Copy-editing and other writing support for the MuleSoft blog
- Work with PR team to market this collateral (and plan a calendar)
APIhub Website and Social Media Marketing management
- Act as the internal and external APIhub SEO/SEM subject matter expert by providing recommendations and executing strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals.
- Provide SEO Analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pages
- Define SEO requirements and site changes that will increase quality traffic, maximize site performance, improve search result listings, and ultimately drive value to our websites. Strategic requirements include elements such as: market/industry research, benchmarking, technical/site architecture assessment, keyword/content strategy, and landing page optimization.
- Day-to-day management and development of editorial content on social media platforms, including tweets, posts and discussions
- Proactively interacting with online communities across all platforms
- Using social media monitoring tools to monitor conversations and report on metrics
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- Demonstrated impact in marketing programs management and demand generation
- A track record of successfully managing and delivering multiple projects in parallel
- Familiarity with marketing automation (e.g., Marketo, Eloqua) and CRM (e.g., Salesforce.com)
- Deep knowledge and interest in SEO, SEM, blogs, and business analytics
- Strong understanding of search engine-friendly web design and ability to make critical design and technical recommendations
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of online community platforms and their respective participants (Forums, Blogs, Photo Uploads, Profiling etc.) and how they can be deployed in different scenarios
- Have a good knowledge of principles of customer service
