Summary:
Steer the Company's web and application development architecture by collaborating with internal customers to ensure business objectives are met on-time and within budget.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Research, document, develop, implement, integrate, and support new software programs and applications.
Work with systems architects, IT support staff, or other internal personnel to develop applicable software programs or applications.
Work with systems architects, IT support staff, or other internal personnel to maintain business applications including SharePoint, internal/external web sites, Business Intelligence, & SQL Databases.
Architect, design, build, implement, test, and support applications to enhance functionality or appearance of the company's web sites and various web applications as necessary.
Lead meetings with end users and departments to solicit, develop, record, and enhance applications requirements.
Work with users and departments to develop applications and process improvements using new and existing solutions including SharePoint, Visual Studio, and SQL Server.
Assist end-user community with SharePoint site creation, customizations, list management, permissions, workflow creation and maintenance, as well as any other SharePoint tasks needed in the environment.
Integrate ERP, PDM, CRM, and other business systems into SharePoint and/or internal & external web sites.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or; an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Minimum seven years of direct web design and/or development experience preferred.
Three years in designing, developing, and customizing SharePoint solutions preferred.
Experience in developing and utilizing SharePoint components including web parts, templates, forms, solution packages, business intelligence, and workflows preferred.
Five years in designing/developing .NET web applications preferred.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams and managing their expectations required.
Experience leading small teams in IT implementation projects.
Working Conditions:
The incumbent will be notified of his or her work schedule. Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.
The incumbent will primarily work in an office setting, but may occasionally be in the production area. While in the production area, employees may be exposed to occupational hazards including, but not limited to, high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc., and must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices.
