Job Title: Application Support Engineer
City: Radnor State: Pennsylvania
Responsible for the day-to-day support of SSI application system, including identifying and troubleshooting application issues and issues resolution or escalation. Responsibilities also include root cause analysis, management communication and user relationship management in partnership with Infrastructure Service Support team members. Responsibilities will also include travel to train personnel on proper use of applications.
?Serve as a member of a team providing initial contact for application issues.
?Provide first-level support of in-house web-based application. Follow support issues through to resolution.
?Assess and document problem scenarios for routing to second-level support.
?Troubleshoot technical issues involving software, network, and database and escalate to appropriate personnel as needed.
?Effectively translate business requirements into technical requirements
?Create and deliver training to users, conducting one-on-one and in group training.
?Work collaboratively as part of a customer support team
?Coordinate tickets with other Help Desk Analysts, Network Administrators, and Application Developers in order to accomplish the timely completion of requests.
?Identify and resolve hardware and software application conflicts. Ensure that resolutions are consistent with standards and do not introduce additional conflicts.
?Test new releases and communicate system problems to development team.
?Learn new systems as they are introduced to the company and then train the rest of the users on the new system(s).
?Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
?2-5 years with experience in ERP application support.
?Strong problem solving skills, analytical thinking, problem solving, creativity.
?Strong written and verbal communication skills.
?Self-starter, motivated and strong team player.
?Ability to create and foster relationships with IT and business clients at all levels of the organization.
?In-depth knowledge of PC platform (including portables), Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 suite of applications.
?Excellent customer service skills, time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
?Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
?Ability to work effectively, in a highly organized manner, paying close attention to detail.
?Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and reach consensus amongst many competing requests.
?Working knowledge of networking concepts.
?Ability to travel domestically, up to 70% in order to deliver training.
