Responsibilities:
Provide support by investigating and resolving complicated Marin application and system issues.
Develop expert understanding of application process flow and companys systems.
Own and drive the resolution on the applications issues, communicate the statuses, root cause analysis, and provide post resolution reporting for high severity incidents.
Prepare the plans, run books, and execute applications deployment and configuration change procedures into QA, staging and production environments.
Setup, configure, maintain and monitor assigned business application(s) and related systems
Monitor the applications and systems alerts and attend to them proactively.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with engineering and customer support teams.
Perform any other roles and responsibilities as the requirements come up.
Minimum Requirements:
3 years of applications support experience in Java, MySQL, and Linux environment.
Strong skills in sql language. Experience with Nagios and Cacti monitoring tools will be a plus.
Scripting languages such as Unix Shell, Perl, Python etc. Familiarity with Apache web server will be a plus.
Previous experience in search advertising (Google/Yahoo) will be a plus.
Accurate prediction of your own task completion timelines.
Sense of innate urgency to complete projects on time and with high quality.
Open communicator and can jump in (if appropriate) to help other team members.
Educational background in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred.
This is an onsite position at Marin Softwares headquarters in San Franciscos financial district (2 blocks from BART). Contract-to-hire applicants are OK.
