The Application Support Manager is responsible for maintenance, break/fix, and business as usual setup of the Company?s legacy and newly implemented applications. In addition, this leader will be responsible for the IS Service Desk team which is the first line of contact from the user/business community for an IS related issue resolution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead teams in triage, evaluation and recommendation of short-term and long-term solutions to customer issues that have been identified as a product development defects.
Work with customers and customer support teams to assure responsive and constructive communication takes place with customers facing business challenges relating to our software products.
Recommend to product development teams areas of improvement in performance and feature capabilities that will improve our customers' successful use of our products.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
Assign areas of ownership, ensure engineers have clear priorities and resources to accomplish objectives.
Maintain high morale and motivate team members.
Participate in architecture discussions and planning.
Communicate status, risks and mitigations accomplish on-time delivery of projects.
Hire, close and retain talented staff by creating a rewarding team environment.
Reinforce ITIL best practices in service design, transition and operation
Develop and roll out training and reference guides.
Advocate, document, and follow best design and development practices.
Manage a team of 1 to 3 employees.
Education and Training
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
Able to adapt quickly to an ever changing environment.
Passionate about contributing to a quality system.
Criminal background screening and reference checks are a condition of employment.
