The Applications Development Engineer reporting to the Manager of Applications Development facilitates the architecture, design, implementation, integration, deployment and ongoing support of all custom and third-party databases, websites and applications. Adheres to corporate application architecture standards, corporate database design standards and application development methodology.
Perform periodic code reviews to insure adherence to corporate standards for application development
Maintain corporate source code library
Architect, design, integrate, implement and deploy custom and third-party databases, websites and applications
Ongoing support of all custom and third-party databases, websites and applications.
Project Tracker Support; meet with various users requesting changes and custom coding. Report back status and using the ?IT Request System? maintain a list of weekly deliverables.
Maintain the ExteNet website and Employee Portal; Work with our Marketing and HR departments who provide pictures and text updates on a spur-of-the-moment basis.
Support our Network Operations Center: Further develop and support an Alert Parser SQL database that receives and processes SNMP traps from external networks.
Provide hands on SQL support for various other in house and off-the-shelf applications within our environment.
Maintain our software applications change control repository; Team Foundation Server.
Participate in weekly update meetings with members of Senior Management.
N-tiered, object-oriented application architecture, design and implementation
Relational database design and implementation
Expertise with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 and 2012, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Integration Services
Extreme Agile application development concepts
Minimum 2 to 4 years? experience preferred
Four year Information Technology Degree, or equivalent experience required
