Job DetailsThe Applications Engineer will provide expert technical support helping our customers successfully integrate our product into mobile phones and PCs. This position reports to Applications Engineering Director and will have a great impact on the overall success of the company. The successful candidate should be willing to travel to customer sites around the world about 25 of the time. The major responsibilities of this role will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with design teams to provide customer feedback on new products and features
- Prepare technical demonstrations for trade shows and customer visits
- Develop product-based reference designs
Experience, Skills and Education Required
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Analytical, thorough, resourceful and detail-oriented
- Background in audio integration and debug in mobile phones
- Mobile phone handset audio integration experience working at a mobile phone manufacturer
- Familiarity with debug tools (i.e. oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and in-circuit emulators)
- Ability to understand, summarize and communicate customer needs, requirements, issues, etc.
- Ability to grasp new technologies and convey value to both internal and external audiences
- Demonstrate the ability to function independently and make decisions, including making judgment calls and taking measuring risks, without executive confirmation
- 5+ years of industry experience related to mobile handset & audio related
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree
Experience, Skills and Education Desired
- Acoustic expertise
- Strong system design experience in hardware and software
- Participation in creating documents and white papers
- Speak, read and write in Korean, Chinese or Japanese
- 10+ years of industry experience related to mobile handset & audio related
- MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science degree.
