Applications Engineer Achates Power
The Applications Engineer is responsible for both pre- and post-sale technical customer assistance. The successful candidate will work with business development managers to identify and propose implementations of Achates Power technology for prospective customer requirements. This includes sizing the engine, configuring the air charge system and other essential engine components, and predicting engine performance. The Applications Engineer will also support the design team by predicting packaging, cost and weight for a specific application. Other responsibilities include preparing proposals for government organizations and customers.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or foreign educational equivalent
Proven track record of success in application or design engineering in passenger and/or commercial vehicle powertrain products
Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new technology
Extensive experience with GT Power, Ricardo WAVE, AVL Boost or similar engine modeling software
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
Desirable Skills:
Master's degree in mechanical engineering
