As our Application Sales Engineer you will be helping our customers by solving their analysis problems by purchasing our line of photonics products Are you ready to use your creativity and educational background to its fullest extent?
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
The Application Sales Engineer is responsible for providing a problem solving methodology and approach with new customers and with our current customers using our line of spectrometers, lasers, and integrated systems as the basis for formulating a solution for the application. In this position, you will manage all aspects of the inside sales cycle from opportunity identification to deal closure, while managing diverse technical and commercial issues to lead to successful outcomes. The Application Sales Engineer will have direct interaction with customers; coordinating all follow-up activities and sales support functions.
Must be able to use able to use problem solving capabilities and relationship based selling techniques in order to maintain and expand already established relationships as well as to build the next generation of key account customers. Should have experience or the ability to execute key account business plan that adjusts to changing conditions and objectives. Must have experience in identification and qualification of new business opportunities and closely monitor the sales pipeline.
Ideal person will also assist with the collection of sales and market trends, customer databases, and competitive intelligence in the modular spectroscopy marketplace.
Candidate requirements:
Requires BS Degree, Chemistry or Engineering related preferred, 1-3 years of working experience in sales/marketing, account and customer relationship management. Experience with spectrometers, lasers, Matlab, LabView.
Fluent in English, additional language skills a big plus, skilled user of MS Office, some travel required to occasional trade shows. The position is based out of Newark, DE.
Annual Salary:
