Applications Scientist - Production Support Innov-X Systems

We are looking for an energetic, results oriented individual with a scientific background to join our team. This position is a technical position in support of the Production Department.

Responsibilities include:

- Experimental determination of optimal instrument parameters and calibrations for specific applications.
- Development of standard operating procedures for routine and consistent analyses.
- Troubleshooting instruments with calibration issues.
- Identify systematic problems and suggest solutions
- Oversight of non-standard production instruments. Make sure proper HW/calibration instructions are clear, follow instruments through the process, and verify performance.
- Verification of analytical quality of instruments with custom calibrations.
- Create procedures for Production to transition common custom calibrations into routine production.
- Issues to be resolved will range from general application support (configuring instruments to meet customer expectations) to complex debugging of error conditions to providing recommendations for innovative solutions to Production difficulties.

A minimum of a BS degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Physics or other applicable technical discipline is required. The ideal candidate will be able to operate independently, show initiative, and exhibit good business judgment. Strong data analysis ability as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this position. Must be able to work with other departments to accomplish goals.
