POSITION: Architect - OSDfs
DUTIES: The Architect ? OSDfs (Object Storage Device File System) will concentrate on the OSD software component in PanFS. As a member of the Architecture team, the Architect ? OSDfs ensures the technical integrity of the OSD component, including: working on future OSD design efforts and OSD team interactions with other components; documenting requirements and reviewing other requirements as necessary; collaborating with SQA on testing strategies for the OSD component; providing support to marketing and the field for customer situations; and participating in outside committees or standards bodies, as required.
REQUIREMENTS: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a directly related field of study and five (5) years of experience in occupation involving storage systems software. Experience must have included: driving new technology areas that have shipped in commercial, technically complex system products; software and hardware development processes and techniques; file system, NAS and large client/server product (HPC); and three (3) years of experience with Object Storage Device file systems (OSDfs).

WORK HOURS: 40 hours/week, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
