Steelwedge the #1 provider of sales and operations planning (S&OP) solutions, is seeking superstar sales executives to join our dynamic, hyper-growth organization. The Area Sales Director position will take advantage of high customer demand in their sales region.
Position Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President, North American Sales and Solutions, the area sales director will be responsible for customer acquisition within a predefined and allocated geographic territory. The ideal candidate will be a strong sales leader with a demonstrated track record of selling cloud-based enterprise software to C-level and line of business management functions. Expertise in selling to supply chain management and cloud solutions are a strong plus.
Responsibilities:
Sell Steelwedge solutions (software, consulting and services) to new prospects across multiple industries including, but not limited to: CPG, Retail, High-Technology, Industrial, Automotive, Chemical/Pharmaceutical
Prospect and drive campaigns within territory
Find, develop and qualify sales opportunities
Develop and nurture local partnerships and national partnerships
Consistently meet/exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas
Provide accurate forecasting/pipeline information to management
Effectively interface with sales/inside sales/sales consulting/marketing/services and development to drive client requirements and a high level of customer satisfaction
Core Requirements:
Six to ten years of enterprise software or Software-as-a -Service direct sales experience
Proven track record: consistently exceeded quarterly and annual quota assignments
Strong business acumen and understanding of business applications and processes
Experience in Sales and Operations Planning, Supply Chain Planning or reporting/analytics/business intelligence tools is preferred
Exceptional communications skills: phone and presentation delivery and engagement
Strong experience in developing new business through a combination of territory planning, prospecting and direct selling
Facile at negotiating agreements, creating territory/opportunity strategy plans, and deploying/allocating appropriate resources to an opportunity
Flexible and adaptable; quick learner, self-starter, strong time-management
Well versed in Salesforce.com, PowerPoint and other sales software tools
Bachelor?s Business Degree or equivalent experience required; MBA a plus
