Job Description: This position will be part of the exciting and challenging IP Application Engineering team in Bangalore for the Silicon Engineering Solutions Group.
Job Requirements:
The ARM Applications Engineer will be the technical focal point for Open-Silicon's customers and internal design teamsfor questions involving ARM technologies including ARM Processors (like
Cortex-A series, Cortex-M series, Legacy ARM-7/9/11), CoreLink-300 and 400,
CoreSight, Trustzone and associated IP and tools
Provide technical support in Pre-sales opportunities as well as Post-sales to customers on FE implementation of ARM systems in the SoC
Provide appropriate ARM-related product recommendations to meet customer requirements on schedule
Provide solutions to put together example systems, integrating ARM IP and running test simulations
Assist the Open-Silicon Back End Engineering team with the successful integration of ARM IP in the SoCs
Create and maintain good relationship and rapport with key customer technical staff
Write Data Sheets, Application Notes, White Papers and Technical Briefs related to ARM IPs
Desired Skills & Experience
Working knowledge of ARM IP products, its implementation and applications such as ARM ISA (Instruction Set Architecture), AMBA, Interconnect, Memory system and Debug infrastructures, and EDA design methodology as well as common functional verification methodologies
Hands-on experience with (Verilog) RTL-design and verification aspects of ARM-based SoCs
A deep understanding of IP design, ASIC Design Flow and Integration related issues
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in the application of 3rd party IP in ASIC design and the associated issues of selection, qualification, integration and application engineering
Experience in Customer-facing and Application Engineering roles is preferred
