Description:This position will assist in Assembly and Shipping.
Duties:In Assembly, you are responsible for
?Assembling computer systems in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures
?Perform in-process quality checks on subassemblies and finished product.
?Utilizing small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures.
?When appropriate, must be able to initiate corrective action to prevent nonconforming products from reaching the customer.
?Recording and alerting manager of any product or process quality concerns discovered during inspection.
?Adhering to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies and procedures
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for verifying the completion and accuracy of all outbound shipping documentation for domestic and international shipments, ensuring that all customer orders are shipped in a timely manner.
?Processing labels accurately and efficiently (making sure information on labels is correct including name address, and category of service).
?Ensuring that the proper product is being shipped to the proper places
?Maintain records and reports
?Becoming familiar with all the tools available through FedEx and Fedex.com
?Exhibiting the highest level of professionalism when communicating with all parties, including internal staff; FedEx staff, and staff of all shipping carriers.
?Making sure that you are highly organized, in a way that you are able to keep up with all shipments, important billing information, shipping quotes, etc.
High school graduate
Minimum two years experience shipping packages with various carriers.
Must be proficient in Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Internet.
Strong telephone skills in English are also required.
Experience with FedEx Ship Manager, UPS World Ship and DHL.
Some college course work preferred.
