Kiva Systems, Inc. is a rapidly growing Boston based robotics company that is revolutionizing supply chain operations. The Kiva Mobile Fulfillment System uses hundreds of mobile robots to automate distribution centers dramatically increasing both productivity and flexibility. Our customers are large retailers, catalog operators, e-commerce and other companies that ship direct to consumers, businesses and retail stores. Kiva is seeking a robotic assembly technician with experience building complex electro-mechanical equipment. Kiva builds a product that resembles a small car, complete with gears, motors, chassis base, frame, and electronics.
The candidate will need the following skills:
demonstrated proficiency using a variety of hand tools to assemble and repair large mechanical assemblies
strong ability to route and install wire harnesses into an assembly
strength and endurance to assemble, install and test the larger components used in the vehicle, such as gears, motors, and frame which weigh up to fifty pounds
occasional work to solder wires and connectors
occasional use of basic power tools
other assembly jobs as required
Must be able to follow work instructions provided for each assembly Job
The successful candidate for this position will be self-managed and possess the desire, drive and energy that is needed to launch new products on short time lines.
