We are seeking an Assessment Development Content Manager to work as part of our Assessment Development team.
Summary:
Questar Assessment, Inc., a dynamic and resourceful organization that provides educational assessment services, requires a full-time Assessment Development Content Manager. The Assessment Development Content Manager will be responsible for content development on one or more assessment projects.
Roles and Responsibilities:
defining client requirements for item and test development
overseeing the development and/or review of item specifications, content area benchmarks and student expectations, test blueprints, and item writer/editor training materials
working with the client, Questar Program Managers and Content Specialists, and members of other Questar resource groups to create, review, and monitor internal and external (client) schedules
monitoring status of the development effort along with project time allocation and the budget for Assessment Development
supporting and supervising the work of Content Specialists on a project
assisting in the development of contracts for external resources (e.g., freelance writers)
facilitating or supervising the facilitation of content/bias and data review meetings
participating in and supervising the facilitation of item writer workshops
Required Qualifications:
BA/BS degree; MA/MS preferred
three to five years of experience in education or educational publishing
experience in developing and/or administering assessments
experience in project management, preferably in a client-facing situation
excellent verbal and written communication skills
evidence of ability to get along well with co-workers and willingness to work as part of a team
experience in a time-sensitive business environment is desirable
travel to business sites and meetings (unless the project is located in the Content Managers city) is required (approximately 20).
