Provide leadership and coordination of company accounting and financial reporting functions. Ensures company accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting principles.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Safeguard assets and assure accurate and timely recording of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internalcontrols and checks across all departments
Manage the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day activities of accounts payable, cash disbursements, invoicing/billing, customer credits and collections, payroll, perpetual inventory integrity, fixed asset records, general & entity accounting, cost accounting, and Operations
Manage routine GL system maintenance and monthly GL account reconciliation preparation, journal entry controls, and month end financial closing process
Manage monthly, quarterly, and year end accounting close including financial reporting
Develop, improve and issue timely monthly and quarterly financial records for Leadership Team and Board of Directors
Interface with outside audit firms(s), banks and lessors
Perform detail review of journal entries and supporting documentation
Establish departmental work processes and maintain written policies and procedures
Assist with the planning and implementation of ERP system
Assist with the implementation of SOX 404
Other duties as assigned
Train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings
Public company SEC reporting is a must, including 10K, 10Q etc. and SOX compliance experience
Consolidation of multiple subsidiaries
Consolidation of foreign subsidiary
Familiarity with transfer pricing & FX
Big 4 and CPA license a plus
A combination of completion of Master Degree in Finance or Accounting, five to ten years of experience in a senior level finance or accounting position
Essential Physical and Mental Functions:
It is critical that the person performing this duty has a great attention to detail and is able to concentrate for long periods of time and produce very high quality work product needing minimal review by management but also is a good communicator internally and externally. There will be periods of intensity and potentially long hours at peak times, particularly during the preparation of the financial statements and associated reports for presentation to the Board of Directors and investors. The Assistant Controller must use the utmost discretion in all presentations/correspondence and communication for staff, Board of Directors and Executive Officers.
Ability to concentrate for periods of 4 ? 6 hours at a time
Ability to perform complex financial calculations
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines required
Ability to continually improve knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and stay abreast of ever changing reporting requirements
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals
Ability to review and self-check work for accuracy and create a high quality end work product

The salary range is competitive.
