Adchemy is seeking a Finance professional for an Assistant Controller role. The position reports to the Corporate Controller and is a great opportunity for an individual seeking growth in an exciting industry. A self starter, focused on continuous improvement, the ideal candidate will have a strong accounting, operational finance and financial systems background and deep experience with GAAP. This individual will be expected to hold a leadership role in our finance and accounting organization, working in close partnership across all departments as well as serving as a key point of contact for our external auditors and tax advisors.Responsibilities:
Drives the accounting close process, preparation of consolidated financial statements and other financial reporting packages (internal and external)
Ensures that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with GAAP
Preparation of financial statements, preparation and review of general ledger accounts and accounting entries and documentation.
Acts as the technical lead on all technical accounting issues and will be expected to research and document the company?s position in accordance with GAAP for any such issues. Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 605) and stock compensation (ASC 718) is preferable.
Creation and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the seamless execution of accounting operations and a strong internal control environment.
Requirements:
B.S./B.A. degree in Accounting
CPA preferred
5-10 years? experience in financial management
Experience with Netsuite and Adaptive Planning preferred
Experience with Federal and State filing tax compliance
Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to facilitate cross-functional relationships
Excellent written and formal presentation skills
Excellent business analysis and interpretation skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively
Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with executive management and external parties
