Duties of the position include but are not limited to:
Manage the financial month end closing process ? coordinate team efforts surrounding the close schedule; ensure that all required financial data is properly captured, reconciled, documented, and disclosed. Includes preparation and review of journal entries
Assist with 10-Q and 10-K SEC reporting, including external audit coordination, preparation of management analysis & discussion, fluxes, financial statements, and footnote disclosures
Manage treasury functions
Coordinate with management and FP&A to compare budget with actuals and to improve forecasting methodology
Prepare tax filings including property tax, use tax, and franchise tax and assist with 1099 reporting
Coordinate payroll processing using third party vendor
Support in stock option management and compensation expense using CAPMX software
Participate in streamlining accounting functions by reducing manual procedures
Administer time sheet, travel and business expense software
Lead/maintain documentation of internal controls and procedures
Other responsibilities as required or assigned. Ad hoc financial reporting and analysis, as well as special projects as needed
Desired Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate should have a CPA with at least 6 years of public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and industry (public company preferred) with thorough knowledge of GAAP and reporting requirements
Financial services experience is preferred
