We are looking for an Assistant Educational Publisher to coordinate publication efforts through collaborating with authors and subject matter experts to develop content in a variety of mediums (courses, research briefs, case studies, videos, etc.). Content is consumed by a broad membership population comprised of chief learning officers at Fortune 2000 companies. This is a full-time, FLSA-exempt position that will report to the Director, Member Services.
Develop deep understanding of target audience content needs and preferences
Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop content to meet target audience requirements and needs
Lead planning, production and publication of a variety of materials and deliverables including written, online and video
Monitor and coordinate the layout and preparation of content
Edit material for accuracy, style and readability, recommending changes where necessary
Read, proof and/or supervise the proofreading of materials provided by subject matter experts
Assist in the scheduling and timing of activities and deliverables associated with content, such as research, meetings, workshops, courses, etc.
Monitor progress against project plan and provide corrective redirection if necessary
Review and analyze information to assess project issues and identify solutions to meet deadlines, quality and goals
Provide client-friendly service that delivers on member needs and ensures the development of strong member relationships
Conduct regular status meetings with Director, Member Services and other stakeholders as identified
Provide communications team with materials needed to communicate membership news, successes, and activities
Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes
Perform other duties, as required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to effectively manage workflow in a highly creative and ambiguous environment
Ability to meet content production deadlines on a regular basis
Ability to liaise with internal and external subject matter experts
Ability to establish and maintain organizational relationships with a diverse group of people
Ability to effectively communicate ? both orally and in writing
Demonstrated initiative and attention to detail

Knowledge and skills related to the mechanics of project management
Knowledge of word processing and design software a plus

Education, Credentials and Experience:
Undergraduate degree required, preferably with some coursework in publishing, business management, and/or communication
Five to seven years of work experience in a publishing environment or in a work environment that required the use of project management, influencing, and organizational skills
Physical and Environmental Conditions:
Work regularly involves physical conditions related to working in an office environment. Requires visual acuity while working at a computer. Minimal regional travel may be required.
The work environment involves everyday risks, which require normal safety precautions typical of an office (e.g., the use of safe work place practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations).
