Assistant Fleet Manager Modular Space Corporation
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED The Assistant Fleet Manager has primary responsibility to protect and manage the ModSpace fleet of assets onsite, both through in-house staff and outside vendors, to deliver world class customer satisfaction cost-effectively.
The Assistant Fleet Manager:
Executes scopes of work driving work quality and cost efficiencies utilizing ModSpace staff and vendors
Supervises maintenance employees and vendor base in yard
Oversees EHS compliance in yard
Conducts inbound and outbound inspections of modular fleet
Logs required repairs and inspections for units in computerized fleet management software; develops and adheres to repair budgets
Photographs and posts pictures of the inspected units (using the branch digital camera)
Confirms, changes, adds, and updates unit specifications and floor plans utilizing a variety of computer software
Initializes customer contact on all damage related to inbound inspections of units; assesses and estimates cost for charge back purposes and communicates to customers
Takes service calls from customers, dispatches service technicians, and follows-up with customers to ensure satisfaction; assesses nature of cost (cost to customer or cost to ModSpace)
Ensures correct equipment availability, configuration, and orientations for customer pick-up or delivery
Enters job scope and time into computer and complete inspection and repair paperwork
Issues purchase orders, reconciles purchase orders and invoices, and rebills customers as appropriate
Assists the Fleet Manager with his/her assigned duties as required
Performs on-site teardown inspections to assess condition of returning equipment
Assists in ordering stock and managing materials inventory
Assists in performing quarterly asset inventory reconciliations
Performs other duties as assigned
A successful candidate has/is:
A Bachelor's degree (in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, Economics, Marketing, or Engineering) OR has a High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years experience (in operations, construction/fleet management, or real estate)
Production, planning, and quality control experience
Experience managing direct reports
Experience managing and negotiating with vendors
Inventory management and purchasing experience
PC proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel and has the ability to master integrated fleet management software
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines in high volume workload situations
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
Focused on customer service
Proven ability in customer conflict management/resolution
DOT and OSHA regulation knowledge and works in accordance with established safety procedures
Able and willing to work outdoors
A valid Driver?s License
A Bachelor's degree - preferred
