Job Description:
In this position you will initiate and maintain the flow of purchased materials and services to meet planned production schedules, which may be communicated through MRP systems or manually requested. Responsibilities include identifying what, when, and how much to purchase, setting pricing and delivery terms with vendors, status/communication of open purchase orders, on-time receipt of purchased item/service, and monitoring vendor performance. Compliance with GMP/ISO regulations and procedures must be maintained throughout all purchasing activities.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. C.P.M. Certification preferred. Minimum 2-5 years experience purchasing and materials planning experience. FDA regulated industry experience. Established ability to interact effectively and professionally with all vendors and service representatives. Demonstrated ability to comprehend basic mechanical and technical terms and concepts necessary for understanding purchasing specifications. Established ability to identify and evaluate qualified vendors. Proven ability to coordinate the timely delivery of purchased items from a variety of vendors.
