The Associate Channel Rep is responsible for assisting distributors and resellers by telephone and email in a specified region in order for them to promote and sell Tripwire solutions to companies.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
? Manage and distribute leads to the channel.
? On a daily basis be in contact with the Tripwire distributor(s) and on a bi-daily basis with the preferred partners.
? Assist partners in and teaching partners to Qualify prospects by determining potential need and generating interest.
? Effectively communicate value of Tripwire solution to partners by determining their current situation and correctly positioning our solution.
? Be a liaison between preferred partners and Tripwire Account Managers
? Assist in closing orders ? Handle partner inquiries generated through web and marketing programs.
? Ability to present value and demonstrate basic functionality of Tripwire Software to partners & partner?s prospects using web and phone conferencing.
? Keep daily record of calls, appointments and other pertinent activities.
? Assist Channel Account Manager in customer outreach, channel account management and troubleshooting.
? Expand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive posture of the company.
? Prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
? Update and maintain Sales database as appropriate.
? Willingness to learn and use leading sales methodologies such as Solution Selling, SPIN Selling, Value Vision as part of a strategy to expand territory sales.
? All other duties as assigned.
Under general direction, resolves a wide range of diverse problems utilizing personal judgment and experience to develop solutions in a creative manner. Interacts with employees at all levels of the organization and takes personal responsibility for meeting the needs of the customer while demonstrating an understanding of business objectives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
? College coursework required, University Degree in a related field preferred.
? Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented atmosphere.
? Strong written/verbal communications skills.
? Ability to solve problems and think critically.
? Knowledge of PC use and Microsoft Office programs.
? Experience using CRM and web-based conferencing systems preferred.
? Sales and/or customer service experience is a preference
