The Associate Director of Development is responsible for modeling and championing the cultural attributes of their team members, understanding and defining business and functional requirements, defining application and system architectures, estimating work effort, assessing risk and organizing risk mitigation activities, coaching team members, ensuring high levels of quality, and launching projects.Description and Responsibilities:
Supervise/lead/mentor a team of direct reports.
Provide expert technology leadership to both internal team members and external clients.
Provide domain expertise to the delivery team to help guide project execution to success.
Create and own improvement initiatives.
Model the highest standards of behavior and help manage the day to day delivery responsibilities of the team.
Provide guidance and leadership to individuals on the team.
Conduct regular one-on-one, team status, and progress meetings.
Identify, train, and develop team members, while creating an environment where those team members are able to do their best.
Ensure team commitments are met on time, on budget, and of the highest of quality.
Communicate to team members what is expected of them, what they are measured against, and what they are accountable for.
Guide and encourage the professional development of team members and provide continuous performance feedback.
Job Specifications and Competencies:
3-6+ years of experience
Bachelor's Degree
Proficient in at least one programing language (Java, Flash, etc.)
Expert understanding of the internet, web development, object oriented programming and web services
Understanding of web hosting environment architecture and database development
Must be organized, extremely detail oriented, and able to balance multiple priorities
Possess strong leadership skills
