Description
The Northeast Indiana Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital is looking to fill a full-time Emergency DVM position in our specialty hospital.
Our hospital is composed of a team of board certified specialists and emergency focused veterinarians. We offer state of the art care with digital radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound, chemotherapy, laser therapy, canine rehabilitation and?finishing Spring 2013 a newly expanded facility including CT scans diagnostics.
Emergency medicine offers case variety and an exciting change from primary care. Our team approach to care means you?ll have the support of specialists and experienced doctors to tackle difficult cases. We have a highly trained support staff of Registered Technicians and assistants to work along side our doctors.
Currently the full-time position involves working 6 ER shifts in a 14 day period; normally 2 weekend days and 4 overnights shifts. Our doctors are on a rotating schedule of Sat/Sun day shifts + Mon/Tues/Weds/Thurs overnights. This schedule results in 8 consecutive days off before the doctor has to start back up again. The schedule can potentially make for a long week, but the full week off is a nice balance. Alternate work schedules are open for discussion. All ER doctors share in the holiday schedule, but holiday shifts are determined a year in advance so everyone can plan ahead. Major Holiday shifts are rotated to ensure fairness.
We offer very competitive compensation, with base pay plus quarterly production bonuses. We also have an attractive compensation package for CE, professional dues, insurance, uniforms and other benefits in addition to your salary.
