Role Profile
The Associate is responsible for detailed client analyses, solution recommendations, and solution implementation with client personnel. The focus of their work is on large acute-care facility processes that span the account revenue cycle. The Associate is responsible for detailed financial, process and staffing analyses that lead to designing and implementing solutions for clients.
The Associate uses established procedures and methodologies when possible, but must be able to develop new procedures and methodologies when work situations require. Work situations range from routine to complex. The position requires the ability to analyze work flows and set priorities to insure timely completion. The Associate receives moderate supervision during initial assignments, but are expected to work with increased independence over time. The Associate is responsible for achieving project objectives in their assigned areas.
The Associate works closely with client executives and operations professionals, including staff physicians and nurses, along with personnel in Admitting & Registration, Medical Records, Finance, Patient Accounting, Quality Assurance, Case Management, Information Systems and other departments throughout the hospital and integrated delivery network. Contacts frequently contain confidential/sensitive information necessitating discretion at all times. Interactions will range from routine to complex and include presentations, one-on-one and group discussions. Oral and written communications are required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads data analysis by insuring efficient data collection, instructing on analytical choices and summarizing conclusions and recommendations
Utilizes and adapts methodologies and tools to typical and complex situations, circumstances and new requirements
Organizes and schedules staff to insure leverage of resources
Insures compliance with MedeAnalytics administrative policies by staff
Establishes credibility within the client organization to facilitate the change process
Handles client and project team interactions
Communicates progress, difficulties and solutions that reflect ability to anticipate and adapt to changing circumstances
Makes presentations to clients and MedeAnalytics staff that demonstrate full command of factual material
Writes with clarity, demonstrates knowledge of English language
Able to influence the actions and opinions of others
Develops tracking tools to measure project progress and to measure benefit provided to clients
Understands MedeAnalytics tools and client IS system functionality
Position requires extensive travel and substantial overtime.
Must have access to personal transportation.
Work space is often limited.
Effectively directs, coaches, motivates and evaluates associates
Other responsibilities and functions as required
Essential Skills, Experience and Education:
Strong performance in achieving a Bachelor?s or equivalent degree specializing in health care administration, economics, industrial engineering, math, accounting or business
This position requires strong personal computer skills (Excel, Word, Windows, PowerPoint, Microsoft Office), analytical skills (problem solving, quantitative, work flow process, etc.), and the ability to demonstrate proficiency and comprehension of MedeAnalytics tools
Financial analysis experience is desirable
Requires use of independent judgment, discretion and decision making abilities.
Must possess negotiation, presentation, selling, customer service and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and persuade clients
Requires ability to work in team environment, be creative and mentor and train others
Advanced English language skills (reading, writing and comprehension)
Job Conditions:
Position requires extensive travel (50-60%) and substantial overtime
Consultants must have access to personal transportation
Workspace is often limited
