Airbnb (www.airbnb.com) is seeking a highly qualified Associate General Counsel, Product. This attorney will work closely with Airbnb?s business leaders around the world and report to Airbnb?s General Counsel in support of our global business efforts. Responsibilities will include product counseling and regulatory reviews and advice in multiple jurisdictions, including data, privacy, and marketing issues. You will meet regularly with the business and product leaders and serve as the primary legal contact for several internal clients.
Candidates should be execution oriented, have strong business acumen, and have superior analytical and writing skills. Additionally, excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues in multiple geographies and functions are essential to succeed in this role. Creative problem solving is a must.
10+ years of demonstrated legal experience (including in-house experience).
Experience performing complex product and regulatory analyses and developing creative solutions to achieve business goals.
Familiarity with a variety of US/global Internet transactional, regulatory, policy, legal and product development issues related to consumer protection.
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to perform beyond expectations in a fast-paced high growth environment.
Experience structuring, negotiating and drafting agreements.
Ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects or project components simultaneously with no supervision.
Ability to effectively present information to a range of clients including individual contributors, senior management and third parties either in one-on-one settings or in formal briefing and training sessions.
Ability to respond to inquiries from customers and the business community, and conduct subsequent interactions with diplomacy and sound legal and commercial judgment.
Ability to think strategically to identify and resolve legal issues in the context of the organization?s commercial goals.
High level of integrity and professionalism.
Self-direction skills and ability to drive results and set priorities independently, proactively and positively.
