The Associate Manager, Corporate Communications is responsible for coordinating and executing projects, activities, and tactics for the Corporate Communications department that effectively benefit and promote media outreach.
Duties and Responsibilities
Plan development and communication of media information designed to keep internal employees informed.
Arrange for media relations efforts in order to meet needs, objectives, and policies of individual, special interest group, business concern, and nonprofit organization, serving as in-house staff member or as outside consultant.
Prepare and distribute fact sheets, news releases, or tapes to media representatives and other persons who may be interested in learning about or publicizing employer's activities or message.
Coordinate travel schedules and itineraries for internal team and external representatives.
Assist in media and public relations activities.
Research data, create ideas, write copy, contact media representatives, or represent employer directly before general public.
Confer with internal support personnel to coordinate development of communication tools.
Plan and manage department budget.
Manage, produce, and edit physician and transplant family video productions for internal executive and web use, social media entities, and pitching purposes.
Develop and manage blog editorial calendar and provide quarterly reporting.
Develop quarterly media analysis, including competitive analysis reporting to identify net positive impressions and strategic media outreach.
Manage and support special projects as required.
Education and Training
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
