In order to reach our goals, we?re looking to hire an Associate Market Programmer. The Associate Market Programmer will be an integral part of LivingSocial?s team, identifying highly desired and trendy businesses across markets of the US.
It?s a big job, and an important one to LivingSocial. We?re not saying it?s going to be easy. But if you enjoy having a major impact on a growing company, this position just might be perfect for you.
Gain a thorough understanding of consumer behaviors as relates to flash travel sites and national product purchasing
Use quantitative tools to track and project deal performance on a national scale
Manage deal concept life cycle from inception to retirement
Drive testing & validation efforts around pricing, schedule configuration and concept need
Collaborate with market programmers and sales team to drive new deal concept adoption
Create, develop and roll out tools to help Sales and Market Programmers achieve maximum revenue and report and make recommendations against opportunities and risks
Ongoing identification of incremental revenue opportunities through assessment of national, regional, and local trends
Enable mapping functionality to assess national deal performance by market
Manage concept options, offer & pricing & clearly communicate value to sales
Identify macro-economic, demographic, and travel trends. Apply findings from trend analysis to maximize deal performance through deal structure and scheduling direction
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, economics, statistics, or related field
Strong understanding of hospitality industry, specifically hotel operations
1-2 year's experience with similar research and analysis is preferred
Strong ability to gather and interpret quantitative research for qualitative decision-making
Desire to learn
Highly energetic and communicative
Strong knowledge of Excel is strongly preferred
