In order to reach our goals, we?re looking to hire an Associate Market Programmer. The Associate Market Programmer will be an integral part of LivingSocial?s team, identifying highly desired and trendy businesses across markets of the US.
It?s a big job, and an important one to LivingSocial. We?re not saying it?s going to be easy. But if you enjoy having a major impact on a growing company, this position just might be perfect for you.
Drive market level strategies that maximize revenue, consumer demand & engagement (deal quality) and merchant performance
Develop market level analysis that identify problems & solutions to market performance issues
Manage concept life cycle for a set of markets, including testing efforts for new concepts, optimizing pricing for market needs and projecting inventory needs to help drive revenue
Become an expert in market data for assigned markets, ie merchant density, demographics and all supporting market research
Optimize market structure using best practices, data mapping, purchaser behavior & merchant density to align markets for success
Review, approve & schedule deals
Define list of market needs, maintaining queue health, while working with sales to secure inventory
Program optimal inventory mix by market to ensure the right deal is in the right place, at the right price at the right time
Primary POC for sales - lead strategic discussions around market performance
Who will be successful in this role?
Contributes to success of markets with out of the box thinking and revenue optimization strategies
Consistently delivers strong results against KPIs (Consumer Engagement, Revenue Goals, SLAs)
Develops a strong working relationship with Sales & Ops (measured by quarterly surveys & feedback loops)
Effectively works across and partners with departments within Living Social
Has full understanding and proficiency of all systems & data
Bachelor?s Degree is required
Up to 2 years of experience with similar research and analysis is preferred
Demonstrate strong quantitative and qualitative abilities with a natural curiosity and a desire to learn
Show a keen eye for detail and organization while being outgoing, friendly and high energy
Possess grasp of social media
Have a keen understanding of consumer value
A working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is strongly preferred
