Beyond.com has an immediate opening for an insightful and driven Associate Product Manager to work as part of our member experience team. As part of the member experience team, you will propose, design and build new and innovative resources to help people find jobs and enjoy successful careers. Our ideal candidate is someone with web marketing, project management and product development experience. The right person has had experience with websites, rapid development and execution, web testing and business strategy. They will also have had experience driving conversion and revenue in a web product or service.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Sr. Product Manager, manages web product initiatives from requirements definition to launch
Assists in product planning through market research, surveys and competitive analysis
Creates business cases for new products or product enhancements
Works with internal customers including other marketing team members, sales, business operations and technology to understand needs and business strategy and design products accordingly
Defines and communicates project scope, timelines, and product requirements
Coordinates with project teams members, including architecture, marketing communications, graphic design and development
Coordinates product launches including acceptance testing, training programs, client communication and product marketing support
Tracks and reports engagement with products and experiences and produces recommendations to continually improve results
Performs additional duties in support of the marketing and product teams as needed
Requirements:
Minimum of 4-6 years of web/software industry experience and 2-3 years experience in product management/development or project management, preferably for high traffic websites and/or growth-stage internet companies serving the consumer market
Knowledge and recent experience coordinating web site projects and knowledge of web technology
Experience using project management software while being flexible in choice of software selection
An understanding of the web software development cycle
Experience writing market/product requirements
Experience working with cross-functional teams including development, architecture, graphic design and marketing communications
Understanding of user experience best practices
Experience with popular web analytics platforms including Google analytics
Strong blend of business acumen and technical knowledge
Results oriented with strong attention to detail
Motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently given light direction from manager and internal customers
Bachelors Degree required
