General Summary:
This role is an expert on our solution that can apply that knowledge against the needs expressed by the marketplace through Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and documentation needed for sales opportunities and support materials. This role is primarily focused on supporting the sales team with completing RFPs for Enterprise level opportunities where product requirements can become more complex and require strong position of our proposed solution. This role reports to the Director of Product Marketing.
Use product knowledge to manage the writing and assembly of RFPs for various sales channels
Work closely with Sales team to divide the responsibility for specialized response information and meet tight deadlines
Review and approve/reject RFP requests from the Sales Channel based on fit
Work closely with product team to determine the feasibility of fringe technical requirements
Craft positioning statements that articulate how our proposed solution meets and exceeds bid requirements
Keep the product team updated with new and changing market requirements
Develop and maintain an indexed RFP library
Create a standardized response template that incorporates key marketing and product messages
Compartmentalize and categorize RFP responses to common question for easy re-purposing
Attend RFP and bid meeting to gather key requirements and support the case for chasing the business
Identify channels for notifications on new and upcoming bid opportunities
Review publicly available competitor RFPs for competitive intelligence insights
Provide feedback on product priorities based on what is critical to winning bids
Conduct win/loss analysis on bid work for continuous improvements
Maintain internal product knowledge resources utilized by sales and support teams
Become the subject matter expert on key market issues that impact product capabilities
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
BA/BS degree or higher, with emphasis on business or writing programs
Proven written business communication or technical writing experience
Experience working with or supporting B2B sales teams on complex opportunities
Ability to manage needs from cross-functional teams members against tight deadlines
Detailed oriented thinker that can also put together the bigger picture of trends in market requirements
