Job FunctionThe role of the Project Manager is to track and manage the end to end delivery cycle for product releases which may utilize external teams. This includes, but is not limited to, project planning, change control and issues management. The Project Manager ensures the software delivery team delivers on its commitments as per plan and on budget with good quality.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop full-scale project plans to track all tactical level deliverables and tasks and communicate to all stakeholders.
Work with management to communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Manage third party vendors where part of the work is outsourced. This includes vendor qualification, budget management and timesheets approvals.
Work with Product Development and Quality to produce estimates for resources, participants, and LOE needed to achieve project goals.
Track project milestones and deliverables and provide weekly progress reports to all stakeholders.
Proactively work with Product Management to manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS or a related field.
5 yrs minimum experience in a software company of which at least 2 yrs project management experience managing software projects using formal project management methodology, techniques and tools.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to lead projects, manage multiple tasks involved in meeting deadlines and deliverables.
Strong computer skills ? MS Project, MS Office and business application software.
Well versed in various stages of Software Lifecycle. Good knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
Excellent inter-personal skills ? with the ability to work with diverse global teams
Knowledge of following tools desirable but not essential ? TargetProcess, Confluence, Jira.
